Description

Imaged Venus on the evening of April 13, 2023.  Venus had a diameter of 14.8" and was 73% illuminated.  The UV image shows the most cloud detail I've been able to capture to date.

Imaged with a C8 Evo, Siebert 2x barlow, ZWO ADC, Astrodon Johnson/Cousins Photometric UV and ZWO IR 850nm pass filters, and ZWO ASI174MM. Imaging train was configured to give me ~F/20 (FL=4000 mm). Image capture using Firecapture with the following gain/exposure settings:  UV: g=300, 5ms; IR:  g=275, 0.75 ms .  Stacking in AutoStakkert3 (best 5% of 20000 frames captured over ~180 seconds). De-rotated images in Wi5.1nJupos.  Generated false RGB in WinJupos (R=IR, no green, B=UV).

Original version:  Compilation of IR, UV, and IR/UV images
